Pink halite from the Khewra mine in Pakistan’s Salt Range. “Himalayan pink” is a trade name — the mine sits in Punjab, south of the high peaks.
Grate or break it over salads, labneh, beetroot, or fruit where the colour should stay bright. Use fine salt in the cooking water; this chunk is for finishing.
