Salt Society

Three cadences.

Salt Society is how the house sends salt to people who do not want to assemble a cupboard from scratch. A small parcel, a chunk or a paper-bag refill, and a kitchen note. Not a crate of novelties, and not a discount club.

You choose a rhythm. We choose the salt. The note tells you what to cook that month, which salt to leave on the table, and which one to keep for butter. If you already know the range, the Society is how you stop deciding. If you do not, it is the gentlest way in.

What is in a parcel

Salt from the list you can also buy one by one: a rock chunk, or ground salt in a paper bag or crystals. The wooden box is a piece you buy once, in the shop. The parcel is the salt that replaces what you have grated. The Hearth is one salt. The Larder is two, chosen to be used together. The Cellar is three, packed as a set you could keep or give.

Every box includes the note. That is not a pamphlet of recipes for their own sake. It is a page on how this particular salt behaves: how late to add it, what it ruins, and what it rescues.

How membership feels

You should be able to ignore us between parcels. There is no points scheme and no pressure to upgrade. The three cadences stay. A three-month or yearly Hearth can be paid now, as a gift: the parcel does not show the price, and the bill stays with the person who paid. Prices are in pounds sterling.

Questions that people ask twice live on the FAQ. The plans themselves are only described here.

An open wooden salt box with rock salt chunks and a wooden grater.
The box is bought once. The parcel is the salt.

Give the Hearth.

The monthly plan remains for the person who wants it themselves. These two are paid once, and the parcel does not show the price.

When you are ready

Add a cadence, or a prepaid gift, to the basket. The bill is from Ocanom Ltd directly, not through a marketplace. Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are taken on the basket page.
